- Is the cap connected to the charging cable? If so, unplug it. The cap will not connect to the app while it plugged in. This is a safety feature of the device.
- Is the cap charged? You will know that the cap is fully charged when the blue charging indicator LEDs do not illuminate or turn off when the cap is plugged in to the charging cable while the charging cable is connected to the AC adapter and plugged in to a powered electrical outlet
- Is the cap on your head? If not, place the cap on your head. The cap will not connect to the app if the capacitive touch sensor, located in the front inside of the cap, isn't against your skin
- Is the cap properly fit to your head size? You will know the cap is properly fitted when the skin on your forehead makes contact with the inside front of the cap. This is where the capacitive touch sensor is located that wakes up the cap and allows for connection with the REVIAN app. If the cap is too loose, adjust the fit by installing a larger rear headliner in the cap. The alternate headliners can be found in the REVIAN accessory kit shipped under the charging base where the charging cable and AC adapter were/are also located.
- Sometimes it is easier to connect to the cap while holding a finger or thumb over the sensor
-
- Is Bluetooth enabled on your mobile device? If not, enable Bluetooth. The REVIAN app uses Bluetooth to connect to the REVIAN cap.
- Have you tried turning Bluetooth off then back on? Sometimes resetting Bluetooth on your mobile device allows the REVIAN app to "pick up" the Bluetooth signal broadcast by the REVIAN cap
- When you logged in to the REVIAN app did you uncheck the "Remember Me" button located above the Login button? Sometimes unchecking this button prevents connection of the REVIAN app and cap.
- Have you tried restarting the REVIAN app? If not, close the app and restart it
- Have you tried restarting your mobile device? If not, restart your mobile device then restart the REVIAN app
- Are you using the latest version of the REVIAN app? To check this you can search for the REVIAN app within the Apple App Store or Google Play. Please update your REVIAN app if it isn't the latest version. REVIAN engineers release app updates to keep up with changing phone and operating system software
- Have you tried uninstalling then re-installing the REVIAN app?
- If you've tried all these steps and are still experiencing difficulty connecting the REVIAN cap to the REVIAN app please contact REVIAN customer support.
